It will be revealed in the February issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine that former Digidestined, Taichi Yagami will return in the currently running Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Race Through Time.Taichi will make his comeback on the series' January 8th episode “Gather Hunters! Digimon Competition in the Southern Island!” However, he will appear as a new and powerful foe. It is not revealed yet if he will rejoin with his previous partner, Agumon.
It was earlier revealed that the Digimon Xros Wars sequel will feature the return of protagonists from previous seasons but writer Riku Sanjou stated that they won't be the main elements to the story, unlike "Kamen Rider Decade" and "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger."
